Clyde staff donate their unwanted items to help beat heart disease
We all have ‘stuff’ lurking in our homes that we no longer need or use, but did you know that one man’s trash can be a charity’s treasure?
Last year Clyde took part in the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Bag it, Beat it’ campaign which aims to collect quality, second-hand items for resale in the charity’s UK shops. We collected an impressive 34 bags in 2017 – our staff got to declutter their homes and the BHF got hundreds of pounds worth of donations!
We couldn’t pass up the chance to participate again this year, and over the past few weeks our team have been busy bringing in bags of unwanted items, which we handed over to BHF today.
Money raised from the sale of these items will be used to fund vital research into heart and circulatory disease, which claims the life of one person every three minutes in the UK. We’re sure you’ll agree that this is an extremely worthwhile cause and join us in saying a big well done to everybody that donated! To find out more about the campaign, visit the BHF website.
