There were plenty of high jinks in the Clyde office and warehouse today (August 8th) as we held a fantastic charity day to raise funds for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice here in Glasgow.
This local charity is running a ‘Kit it Out’ fundraising campaign to cover the costs of the home comforts for its brand new facility at Bellahouston Park, due to open in September.
We couldn’t let the campaign pass without chipping in to help. We decided to host a ‘dress down’ day for all our staff, with cakes and treats in the office and the highlight – a paper aeroplane competition in our warehouse!
We’re not going to lie, the challenge definitely brought out a competitive streak in some of our staff! Paper choices and plane designs were kept top secret until the last minute, and we can now exclusively reveal that the winner, with a stonking flight of twenty metres, was Marcin Smenda! Marcin’s winning plane was constructed in classic schoolyard style from our Kaskad 120gsm paper in a fetching shade of Kingfisher Blue.
Check out the photos and a video of the winning throw on our social media pages – we would like to thank our staff for participating so wholeheartedly in today’s charity event and hope everybody had a fun day.
