We’re FSC® certified. What does this mean?

FSC® stands for the Forest Stewardship Council®.

FSC® is a global, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide.

At Clyde, we are very proud to be an FSC® certified company, and in addition a significant proportion of our products are FSC® certified.

Being an FSC® certified company means there is a ‘chain of custody’ from forest to end-user, ensuring that FSC® materials and products have been checked at every stage of processing. Customers can be confident that FSC® labelled products purchased from us can be traced right back to their source, with a solid line of environmental responsibility from beginning to end.

It also means we only source products from paper mills whose paper pulp comes from well-managed forests that meet the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility. For example, forests where three to four trees are planted for every tree cut down.

As a company, we ourselves are externally audited every year to ensure all our processes comply with FSC® requirements.
